Social Media Policy

PUBLIC GUIDELINES FOR SOCIAL MEDIA

Our social media platforms are intended to allow participation in open communication between Endologix and the public. However, occasionally we might need to remove comments to meet industry regulations, data privacy restrictions, and/or uphold the intent of our social media guidelines, including, but not limited to:

  • COMMENTS SEEKING MEDICAL ADVICE, OR CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES
    Our social media platforms are not intended to be used for medical advice or a replacement for advice from a doctor. Endologix does not practice medicine or provide medical services or advice. We may address broad customer service questions online, but we might have to remove comments to protect your privacy. If you have customer service issues or questions, we suggest contacting Endologix Customer Service at 800.983.2284.
  • COMMENTS CONTAINING PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION
    For general protection, and to comply with data privacy regulations, we will remove posts that contain personally identifiable information, including a phone number, address, email or date of birth.
  • COMMENTS CONTAINING OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE OR MISLEADING INFORMATION
    We will remove any comment that uses profanity, hate speech or other offensive language. We will also remove any comment that makes unsupported claims or accusations or contains false or misleading information. Comments that promote the buying or selling of goods or services or that are clearly spam will also be removed.
  • COMMENTS CONTAINING UNAPPROVED PRODUCTS OR OFF-LABEL USES
    We have developed our social media platforms for use in the United States. Therefore, we cannot discuss any products that are not approved for use in the U.S. by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We will remove any comments about unapproved products, or the use of our products in a way that is not indicated by the FDA (otherwise known as ‘off-label’ use).

Please know that Endologix reserves the right to delete any posting at its sole discretion that affects the integrity of our social media platforms.
